What we saw at this year's D365UG / AXUG Summit

Nashville was a great place for this year’s D365UG/AXUG. Much of our time was spent at the beautiful Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center.

This massive facility was not only great for the meetings and sessions of the D365UG/AXUG, but also looks to be a wonderful place to visit and get away with the family, we encourage you to check it out if you are planning a trip to Nashville. You can visit their website here.

D365UG / AXUG Summit - Nashville, TN

This year’s Summit was definitely the largest and most active we have seen. With over 6000 attendees, there were plenty of people to meet… and never a dull moment. Tuesday we attended the Pre-Conference Academy Training as well as the Summit Partner Exchange. The Exchange had over 1000 Dynamics Partner Attendees, making it the largest ever Summit Partner Event. The Expo Hall opening closed out the evening with a bustling crowd who came for the Opening Night Cocktail Reception.

Wednesday kicked off with the community general session discussion about the future direction of the User Group. The All-Star Award Presentations were also handed out, and special congratulations should be given to (Dawn Johnson, City of Redmond WA, Lenora Gusler, RJ Corman Railroad Group, LLC, Lindsay Garcia, Magpul, and Sherry Moran, Key Technology.)

Dynamics 365 Upgrade GuideAlso on Wednesday, things got rolling early with our session “Step by Step Guide to Upgrading D365 for Finance and Operations.” We were amazed to see a packed house of 130+ D365UG/AXUG attendees ready to listen to Blue Horseshoe’s own Bill Ducat and Josh Williams. This session was very well received and quite frankly, was one of the best sessions from start to finish that we have presented. Bill and Josh did a great job conveying a clear outline for Dynamics AX to Dynamics 365 upgrades, beginning with corporate buy-in, and finishing with real-life deployment experiences. If you missed the session, we have asked Bill and Josh to present an encore webinar in December to address the upgrade path from prior versions of Dynamics AX to Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. Register here to attend the “Step by Step Guide to Upgrading Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations” webinar set for December 13th, 2017.

Global Order Promising - Order OrchestrationOn Thursday, we unveiled our newest product, Global Order Promising within the Blue Horseshoe booth. You can learn more about this innovative application that allows you to take control of your order orchestration.

Check it out on appSource: Blue Horseshoe – Global Order Promising.

Acme Feed & SeedWe would also like to send out a special “Thank You” to the Acme Feed & Seed who hosted the Blue Horseshoe Thursday evening cocktail reception. If you are ever in Downtown Nashville, make sure to stop by and visit this four story entertainment complex. While our reception was hosted on the second floor, there is plenty to do on each of the four levels. While we enjoyed networking, great food and just a few cocktails…..we found a few people interested in the MLB playoffs and Thursday Night Football. While it will be hard to top this party, we will do our best in Phoenix next year!

We hope to see you next year at D365UG / AXUG in Phoenix, Arizona.
