Chris Elliott, Strategy Consultant, participates in Supply Chain Consulting and Talent Discussions

Chris Elliott will be a featured presenter at the CSCMP Charlotte Roundtable, on November 4th, 2014.  The event will feature presentations from industry experts on the latest in supply chain talent.  Chris will be a panel member for the discussion on, “Solving the Talent Gap in Supply Chain”. Supply Chain Talent and Consulting Leadership Presentation
On October 24th, Chris presented a two hour workshop on Consulting Practice and Leadership to the MBLE Council of the Fisher College of Business at the Ohio State University. His presentation discussed the factors that influence a consulting career, tools, and tactics to obtain and develop a successful career in consulting or any career path within supply chain management.

In his presentation, he addressed many of the challenges that young professionals will face when entering the career market. Specifically he addressed the need for young professionals to develop soft skills in communication and leadership which are key factors to influence their career. He also provided feedback on how to direct conversations and identified the key areas most students need to focus on to develop their processional identity.


Chris Elliott is a consultant at Blue Horseshoe Solutions where he is a consults, educates, and writes on the topics of supply chain management, technology, and distribution design. He has over 11 years of experience in supply chain management through roles in 3PL operations management, chemical distribution, education, and consulting.

As well as his work for Blue Horseshoe clients, Chris has served as the President of the Columbus Roundtable of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, serves on the Council’s Global Advisory Committee, and has been published in the Supply Chain Quarterly magazine and DC Velocity.

He has also written academic texts on Logistics and Distribution for McGraw Hill as part their Workforce Development Programs. Chris previously held an Adjunct Professor position at Ohio Christian University and is qualified by the Ohio Board of Regents to instruct on topics of Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, Business Mathematics, and other business topics.

Chris holds a BS in Materials Science and Engineering and Masters of Business Logistics Engineering, both from The Ohio State University. He speaks frequently at regional and national conferences on supply chain leadership and technology.
