Meyer Corporation is based in Vallejo, CA, and is one of the fastest growing cookware companies in the world. Meyer specializes in the distribution of metal cookware and other high quality kitchen products, and distributes top brands such as Analon, Circulon, Farberware, and Kitchen Aid. Meyer has a large, 700,00 square foot facility in Fairfield, CA, as well as a smaller one for their direct-to-consumer business in Vallejo.

Blue Horseshoe implemented Manhattan’s iSeries based Warehouse Management System for Meyer back in 1998, and has continued to support the operation and the ever-changing system requirements along the way. Meyer has a highly automated facility, with Conveyors, Pick-To-Light, and inbound Palletizers that all needed to be tightly integrated with the WMS. Blue Horseshoe provided those integration services, along with the standard configuration, testing, training, and support services for the overall implementation.

The initial WMS implementation provided a huge increase in inventory and shipping accuracy, as well as dramatically improved customer satisfaction. The ability to comply with retail labeling and ASN requirements was also a huge benefit of the project. Today, Meyer continues to review their operation and make system upgrades and changes to accommodate new requirements and more efficient practices. Due to the past successes and the established partnership with Blue Horseshoe, Meyer has continued to utilize Blue Horseshoe to support their supply chain applications.
